The Golden Rule of Developer Data Privacy

Never paste production database dumps, user tokens, or secret keys into unknown online JSON formatters that transmit data across the internet.

Many third-party formatters log clipboard input on external telemetry servers, creating severe compliance breaches under GDPR and SOC 2.

The JSON Formatter & Validator on Tools24Now runs 100% client-side using browser JavaScript V8 engine parsing. Your data never leaves your local RAM.

3 Common JSON Syntax Traps

  1. Trailing Commas: While JavaScript objects permit trailing commas ({"key": "val",}), standard JSON specifications (RFC 8259) strictly forbid them and throw parse exceptions.
  2. Single Quotes Instead of Double Quotes: In JSON, all keys and string values must be enclosed in standard double quotes ("). Single quotes (') are invalid.
  3. Unquoted Keys: Keys without quotes are valid in JavaScript object literals, but will fail strict JSON parsing.
